Another Poem - Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity, the Three in One
The Holy Ghost, Father and Son
Together in love and glory be
For now and for eternity.

The Holy Ghost, Comforter
Tongues of flame, the Interpreter
Servant of the Father, Conceiver of the Son
With Him believers are many, without Him – none.

The Father, King of Glory
Creator of the world, of good and misery
Smoke by day and Fire by night
Believers are holy and precious in His sight.

The Son, Prince of Peace
His loving mercy let never cease
Mortal His mother, Eternal Father too
Through the Spirit, believers know you.

Trinity Holy, the One from Three
All was made holy on the Tree
Precious blood, eternal love had He
For now and for eternity.

Poem - Dream within a Dream

I sit, staring out my window
My mind is empty but full is my heart
I see in the rain, only sorrow
My love and me - so far apart.

I close my eyes for a moment only
My dreams are of a field full of beauty
I think to myself, ‘Here I will not be lonely’
My strength for him: my new found duty.

I stand quiet in this beautiful field
My eyes up watching the darkening sky
I, unwilling to let my barriers yield
My tears held back so I will not cry.

I, at the window, open my eyes
My surprise as I look, I can not hide
I sit in my field of dreams, is this all lies?
My grasp on reality is gone, I have no guide.

I raise myself, heart racing, and turning, see
You, my love, are standing there, smiling
I try to speak but all words have failed me
You stand there still, my dear, now crying.

I lower my guard and run, my love, to you
You open your arms to me, call my name
I embrace you, my dear, but no answer, as I knew
You are not there with me, my mind’s game.

I open my eyes in bed, sitting up in tears
My mind, the winner, has worked its scheme
I walk to my window, hearing the rain’s jeers
My sorrow this: my dream within a dream.

Back Stabber

A couple weeks ago, during a sermon, I was looking down at one of our church's fans which had a picture of Da Vinci's Last Supper on it. Now, I'm not sure what people have heard but my aunt, after reading The Da Vinci Code, showed mum and me the mysterious hand in the picture that is holding a knife but doesn't belong to anyone in the picture... Example....

Now, as you can see in this picture - there are four of the twelve discples shown. Three have both their hands accounted for and the one that does not is wearing a blue garment which is different from the brown sleeve on the wrist of the hand with the knife. Now, I ask the readers... who is the knife behind? Well, if you look at the man's right hand you'll see he's holding a little bag which mean that the man is Judas and he has his silver pieces already at the Supper. I was looking at this picture a long time when something my mum had told me about Da Vinci popped into my brain and got it working - Leonardo Da Vinci had a strange sense of sarcasim and humor that he would often put into his paintings, it was always subtle and could take a while to dawn on a person. I think this is another one of his subtle sarcasims... I have heard people saying that its the had of Satan, or a Roman, and other such things but I think it only has a verbal meaning. I think it's there to represent the known fact that Judaus Iscariot was a 'Back Stabber'.

Evil (Reposted)

I like this, it was sent to me from a friend and it made sense to me and quite a few other people that have read it.

+++++~+++++~+++++

A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged
his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"

"God created everything?" The professor asked.

"Yes sir, he certainly did," the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."

The student became quiet and did not answer the professor's hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proved once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?"

"Of course," replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"

"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The other students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is
in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's
prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down.
